If the controls for wii sports (comes with the console) get an A for being easy and intuitive, then the Carnival controls get an F. The concept is good, but when it comes to the gameplay, it is totally ruined by the interface. You will be disappointed if you buy this game im surpised it is rated so highly.

I actually paid the $40 for this game in the store as a surprise for my boyfriend who really wanted it. I thought it might be cool too, but I ended up hating it. He on the other hand, absolutely loves it. I have no idea why. The graphics pretty much suck, the games are either pointless or impossible, its not fun AT ALL for a single player and you really want to break the t.v when the carni basically says that you might as well just end your life because you missed an impossible target. The prizes dont even unlock new games. They are just "super" versions of the one you just played. Oh, great, so now I have a new game to get tired of in less than 30 seconds. My friend and I only played it one night because we live in Pennsylvania, hate the cold, and were desperate for SOMETHING to do. We put it on the competition mode and it did keep us busy. Even though it literally went through the same 5 games time after time. This game really is only a last resort for the most desperate boredom. But really just borrow it from a friend who was stupid enough to buy it. Dont waste your own money.

There are many games included. Most all have a very realistic feel to them, requiring the same motions you would do in real life. There are some notable exceptions - mainly throwing at bottles, clowns, and the dunk tank. You do go through the throwing motions, but its not as simple as that. Theres a moving target that directs your aim. Timing is everything. Its pretty easy to win prizes and unlocks items to dress up your character.

The one problem we experienced is the ring toss game. It doesnt pick up the throwing motion very well, making it frustrating to play.

Our family has spent hours playing the games. We highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys playing the real games or just likes good clean fun.

The game is great but there is one big major flaw. They didnt realize that people or all differnt colors. I read an interview that said they just forgot but in the game there are a few non white people. Now like i said i love the game i was just dissapointed that they would do that. Even still though thats just a small part of the game and they said the second carnival games will have shades of color so they lose a star for the color but the next games they have will be fixed so i look forward to that.

This was our first panini press so I wasnt sure what to expect. Honestly, Im not sure how we lived without it for so long. It does what it says--cooks sandwiches in time with its lights. The fillings are hot, the bread nicely toasted. It even makes a great quesadilla. My teenager uses it all the time, and its great for the times Im not here or feeling too tired to cook much. It cleans very easily, which is another plus. This is definitely worth the money.

I got this cookbook because I loved the the Thai Chicken Tortilla Spring Rolls and wanted to make them at home. The results were phenomenal. They tasted just like the ones I have gotten in the restaurant and best of all I could adapt them to meet my personal preferences. Ive made them with tofu as well for my vegetarian friends and have gotten rave reviews for that version as well. So far I have gone on to have great results with many other recipes like Jambalaya Pasta with Chicken, which is equally delicious.

As other reviewers have mentioned, these recipes are pretty involved and call for quite a lot of ingredients. However, I find that the results are worth it because the flavor is so close to what you get in the restaurant. Also, some of the components can easily be made ahead of time to get the meal on the table more quickly when you want to eat. For example, when I made the Tortilla Spring Rolls for a party I made all of the components ahead of time so that all I had to do before the party was assemble and bake.

Overall if you dont mind long ingredient lists and a bit of prep time I think youll be impressed with how much these recipes taste like their restaurant counterparts. I cant wait to try more recipes from the book.

I hosted Bunko a couple of weeks ago with a "pizza" theme. After I opted to order some fancy pizzas from CPK (pre-baked - all I had to do was stick them in the oven for 5 minutes), I chose to do the Spinach and Artichoke Dip from this book as well as the Field Greens Salad and the White Balsamic Provencal Salad. Well, the dip was amazing! One of the ladies said: "Just give me a spoon!" to which we all had a good laugh! It was that good!!! The Field Greens Salad (I substituted sugared walnuts and pear for the tomatoes) was a total "hit" as well! I will make these recipes again and again!

I am a pretty good cook and an avid CPK customer. I did not feel the food tasted as good as from the restaurant. I know that restaurants have better stoves and ovens but I just did not enjoy the items I made. Not a bad cookbook as it does make you want to go to CPK to eat.

If youre going to buy any of the California Pizza Kitchen cook books, THIS is the one to buy. I bought another one first, but it didnt have their more popular recipes in it. This one is great. This is a wonderful cookbook and REALLY does tell you how to make the CPK pizzas true to ones we enjoy at CPK.
You should be aware of a few things:
1) Buy a Pizza Stone, it makes the pizzas cook better
2) Be prepared for a bit of work. Making the dough the way they say takes longer than a day, since you have to let the dough sit, rise, punch it down, let it rise and so on.

Is the payoff worth the effort? Well, seeing that a Pizza at CPK costs, what, around 12 bucks, its cheaper to go there and get it. However, if you truly want to know how to make Pizzas the CPK way, this is your book!

The California Pizza Kitchen Cookbook book looks cute and promising enough, but the bread flour recommended in the book for pizza dough does not have high enough gluten. Without using high-gluten flour (OR making it with vital wheat gluten), resulting crust is too soft and soggy, not crispy at all. Some people like it like this, but cant make the specified 9" pizzas without the dough coming apart and then having to patch it its just not elastic enough. The dough is actually not a dough, but more like a very sticky batter which sticks to the bottom of the KitchenAid stand mixer and therefore doesnt get much mixing because of this and because theres so little of it. Very sticky to handle and, again, theres just not enough batter-dough made from the recipe to make what they claim, so be ready to do some recipe calculations.

The instructions for making the dough are poorly written, resulting in vagueness, misunderstandings, and lots of rereading to try to figure out what they want you to do.

Ill stick with THE ULTIMATE PIZZA MANUAL, which gives me real incredible pizza.

I was a bit dissapppointed. I purchased this cook book thinking it was a cook book that featured all of the food found in California Pizza Kitchen Restaurants. Well needless to say my favorite Salad is not featured in this book. I always enjoy a Field Green Salad with Gorgonzola cheese this salad is not listed in the book...Putting together the salad is a breeze...I just wish I knew the ingredients to the dressing that makes it all worth while!

If you are only interested in the actual Pizza & Pasta recipes then this is still a great buy!!!

The two cookbooks are wonderful additions to any collection. The recipes are easy to follow and its like bringing California Pizza Kitchen into your own home, hands down. The only down side is these books dont have any new or newer reccipes. The salad dressings are the same and the pizza recipes are the same, but the other items that CPK offers now, these 2 cookbooks are very limited in the menu they have now and have had for the last ten years. We love what they do offer in the cookbooks and I hope they come out with a newer updated version.

1st of all I admit that I did not read thoroughly the page asto what I was buying - it must have been a bad day because I buy a lot on Amazon and always check all details of a product. I bought this in combination with the mini duster which is great - it arrive a week ago, this thing arrived today.

Ill never use this thing so its basically 20 bucks down the toilet. But I want to warn anyone curious about it - it is heavy. It reminds me of a baseball bat. Almost as heavy, about the same size, and the thick handle area is very much like a bat.

I cant imagine any woman using this thing.. Its too heavy and clunky, never to be used with just one hand by a woman. It also is obviously filled with chemical so be prepared for that. Right now its sitting on a table in the other room and the house at the moment smells like a car wash.

I gave it 2 stars not because of my mistake in purchasing the wrong item, but because of its enormous clunky-ness and weight and obviously strong chemical in it.

I have had this product for about 6 months. It takes less than 2 minutes to dust your car off with this product. I keep my car garaged and it still gets very dusty. Now whenever I drive off, my car is lookin purdy!

I just received my new California Super Duster to go along with my brand new car. This thing is great...especially in the days between a car wash and a rainy day. The California Super Duster will make it look like you wash your car every day.

First let me just state the obvious: The Super Duster is meant for use on a DRY car....not wet. Sorry...just had to say it.

The key thing about the Super Duster is that it doesnt leave those swirls that you might otherwise get from just wiping your car down. Its got super-soft bristles that glide over the finish of your car and remove all the dust. On the other hand, make sure dust is all youre trying to remove with the Super Duster. Dont try to use it on silt and other sandy" type build-ups. Dont use it on bird droppings. And never scrub with it if a gentle glide doesnt remove what youre trying to get rid of, go to the conventional method(s) of cleaning your car. Otherwise you risk swirls or scratches.

This is my second duster after owning my last one for...well...since sometime in the 90s. The last one I had was a bit smaller with only a 15" cleaning head the one on this page has a nice, big 31" cleaning head. And I was almost reluctant to get the 31" because my 15" was still working so well after all these years. In fact, as time goes by the thing actually works better as it starts to look dirtier.

After your first use or two you may experience a little streaking (which freaked me out), and it even tells you in the packing that this may happen due to a "parrafin wax" that the Super Dusters soft bristles are treated with. Rest assured that this stops after like your first few uses, the wax does not harm the cars finish and it easily wipes off. Before the first use of the Duster, remove it from its packing and let it hang in you garage for a day or two this greatly reduces the amount of streaking that may occur on your first try.

So if you can get by the minor "streaking" thing that might occur in your first try, youll love the results that the Super Duster provides. Its like taking your best suit to the dry cleaner with the major difference being you get a bright, shiny car back in under a minute using the Super Duster.

Now...hit the road!

Ive seen this product used a number of times over the years and recently decided to get one for myself. This particular duster is quite large and perfect for my large truck. If you have a family sized vehicle or a compact, I would recommend one of the smaller California dusters. This product works as advertised. As I see it there are but two drawbacks: one, if you use the duster on the vehicles glass, a waxy residue will be deposited. Two, the duster gives off a powerful chemical odor. Stored in the garage no problem. Stored in the house a significant problem. The bottome line is that Im happy with my duster and would buy it again.
